Crystalline Quartz Polarization Rotators는 빔 편광과 관련된 rotator의 정렬과 관계없이 고정된 각도에서 입사 빔의 편광 면을 회전시킵니다. Polarization rotators는 특정한 각도로 편광을 회전시키는 waveplate의 우수한 대안품입니다. 이 rotator는 광축 주변의 rotator 방향과는 별개로 수정 결정체(quartz crystal)에 자연적으로 존재하는 광활성으로 인한 편광의 회전을 발생시키며, 이같은 회전은 광축 주변의 rotator 방향으로부터 영향을 받지 않습니다. 단, Crystalline Quartz Polarization Rotators가 빛의 전파 방향에 수직이 되도록 정렬되어야 합니다. Nd:YAG 파장에서 45°나 90°회전으로 고정된 rotator는 black anodized aluminum mount에 장착된 버전으로 이용이 가능합니다.
