Penta Prism Beamsplitters는 precision penta prismwedge prism을 결합한 뒤 일반적인 반사면 중 하나에 적절한 interference coating을 적용해 제작됩니다. penta prism이 약간 움직이더라도 광선이 반사되는 true right angle에는 영향을 주지 않기 때문에 투과 및 반사된 빛 사이의 편차를 섬세하게 제어할 수 있고 10 arcsec 이상은 변동되지 않습니다.

참고:Outgoing beams은 부분적으로 편광됩니다.
