TECHSPEC® MercuryTL™ Liquid Lens Telecentric Lenses는 liquid lens의 유연성과 telecentric lens의 역량을 결합한 제품입니다. 이러한 렌즈는 telecentric lens만이 갖고 있는 독특한 특성이 융합되어 liquid lens 사용 시 패럴랙스(원근법) 오류가 제거되기 때문에 전자식으로 포커스를 제어할 수 있습니다. 이와 같은 조합으로 신속한 working distance 조절이 가능하면서도, 전체 working distance 범위에 걸쳐 telecentricity, 왜곡, 이미지 성능이 그대로 유지됩니다. TECHSPEC® MercuryTL™ Liquid Lens Telecentric Lenses는 빠른 심도 조절이 필요한 계량, 계측, 배치 용도에 이상적으로 사용할 수 있습니다.

Liquid lens는 telecentric lens의 초점을 맞추는 데 사용되는 부품으로서, 곡률(curvature)이 달라지는 특성을 보입니다. 곡률이 변함에 따라, 렌즈 후면의 ray angle에도 약간의 변화가 발생하게 됩니다. 그 결과 liquid lens로 렌즈의 초점을 다시 맞추는 과정에서 working distance 범위에 따라 FOV도 다소 바뀌게 됩니다. 단, liquid lens의 곡률이 변하더라도 front ray angle (피사체 공간)에는 영향을 가하지 않기 때문에, telecentric lens로 working distance의 전체 영역에서 telecentricity를 유지할 수 있습니다.
